Musician Bio

Kicking off his music career at the age of 15 as principal bassist of San Jose Youth Symphony on their 2007 tour of Eastern Europe, Andrew Lawrence then went on to start playing professionally for various Bay Area theatre groups the following year.

After being accepted to the Berklee College of Music, he met with the opportunity to play with exciting artists such as Riverdance composer Bill Whelan, all while establishing an understanding a multitude of musical styles. Andrew then self-released an album in Boston before graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Music Performance in 2014.

Upon returning home, Andrew put that degree to the test, touring with a number of groups, both across the U.S. and internationally. When not performing for festivals or one of San Jose’s classic venues, he can be found teaching the next generation of  bass students.
